John E. Buchholz, Esq.

“Buchholz & Burke provides personalized service; our clients always get to talk to us directly. We count it as a success to find the least expensive solution to a client’s needs and we travel to our clients and their families to meet with them.” ~John Buchholz

John is dedicated to making the legal system accessible to his clients. John’s areas of practice include estate planning for non-traditional families, trusts, LGBT senior law, and probate administration. John views the law as a means to creating positive change in the lives of the clients and families he serves.

John’s belief is that attorneys and the legal system should be approachable and so he carries that philosophy through in his practice. With baby boomers reaching their golden years, he understands that the need for elder law services will only grow and that it is the legal system, not senior citizens that should adapt to meet this challenge. John believes that the Twin Cities’ Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) seniors have a unique stake in elder law and that they require a unique talent to meet their distinctive legal needs.

On A Personal Note
I love to read. I love spending time outside - whether it be gardening, going on a walk or snowshoeing in the winter. I am passionate about cooking, and love to try challenging new recipes. Some women enjoy shopping for shoes or bags, but I prefer looking over tomatoes at the farmer's market or visiting a specialty cheese shop.
